Château Dauphiné-Rondillon, Loupiac, Entre-deux-Mers

Loupiac, Cuvée Classique – Stainless Steel
Loupiac, Cuvée d'Or Very – Old Vines – Aged in French Oak Barrels

The friendly and easy-going brother-and-sister team of Jean-Christophe Darriet and Sandrine Darriet-Froléon are part of a family tradition that started in 1794. The family domaine, Château Dauphiné-Rondillon, accounts for 10 hectares of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle, which are used for their world-class vins liquoreux from Loupiac. In 1936, the family acquired Château des Gravières and eight hectares of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Merlot to make approachable, bright, classic style clarets and lively, white Bordeaux. The Darriets were one first families in France to turn back to sustainable farming in the 1950s, and they are still at the forefront of the sustainable movement in the region.

The house style emphasizes long élevages for both dry and sweet wines to enhance texture, structure and longevity. The estate also has a collection of rare, old vintages. Their wines have won countless distinctions, awards and exceptional press, and their age-worthy Loupiacs represent some of the best-value botrytized wines on the planet!
